GAZA CITY, Dec 22 (AFP) - A third Palestinian was shot dead Wednesday by Israeli forces during an incursion into the Khan Yunis refugee camp in the south of the Gaza Strip, medical sources said.
The man, whose identity was not immediately known, was shot in the head, the sources said.
A Palestinian policeman and a fighter from the radical Abu Rish Brigades movement had earlier been shot dead and six other people wounded in the camp during exchanges of fire with Israeli forces.
A fourth Palestinian was killed by Israeli troops in a separate incident in the Beit Hanun region in northern Gaza.
The latest deaths brought the overall toll since the September 2000 start of the Palestinian uprising to 4,640, including 3,595 Palestinians and 970 Israelis.
